Product details
Wildflowers is a seasonal release from Ethiopia. We generally aim for a coffee that has floral aromas, and lots of berry flavours. This season's coffee is from the Yirgacheffe region, famous for its beautiful heirloom coffee.
This coffee is sourced from the Gerse region, and our first time buying from this sub-region.
In the cup we are getting lots of berry notes, including strawberry and blueberry, as well as citrus and tropical IPA notes. The coffee is delicate, clean and sweet.

NOTES FROM THE MASTER ROASTER:
We selected this coffee because of its expressive berry and citrus flavours. We found that on a lighter roast the berry flavours are very pronounced as well as a refreshing hop flavour that reminds us of a tropical IPA. We have roasted this as a filter profile, but it will work as a fruit forward espresso and will work better on a longer extraction.
The fruits of our labours...
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, where the flowering bushes grow wild in the forests. This coffee, like most from Ethiopia, is actually a wild coffee hence wildflowers. Also the name was originally somewhat inspired by the Marcus King song, Wildflowers and Wine. The flowers on the art are fruit, hinting at the flavour notes you can expect from the coffee!
