Wildflowers is our seasonal release from Ethiopia. We chose the name as a nod to Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee where heirloom varieties still grow.

This season we have selected a coffee from Edido, a small part of the famous Yirgacheffe region. This is a grade 1 herioom produced by smallholder farmers around the processing station.

The coffee is has vibrant floral aromatics with notes of kiwi, peach, nectarine, orange, hibiscus, jasmine, honey, and maple syrup. 

We've approached the roasting profile as an omni-roast, making it a perfect fit for a fruit forward espresso and batch brew alike.

NOTES FROM THE MASTER ROASTER:

We selected this lot from Edido this year, we always like coffees that have vibrant fruit flavours but have a balanced sweetness. Wildflowers is roasted as a light omni-roast making it a perfect choice for fruity espresso and all filter moethods.

ABOUT THE ART

Coffee is a wild flower

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, where the flowering bushes grow wild in the forests. This coffee is an heirloom variety, meaning it's a wild flowering bush "hence the name". Also the name may have also been inspired by the Marcus King song, Wildflowers and Wine. The flowers on the art are fruit, hinting at the flavour notes you can expect from the coffee!
