Oils is back! A special collaboration with Montreal band Unessential Oils, back on the menu for 2026. 

This year's release is a natural from Coope Terrazú in Costa Rica, it's our most expressive coffee on the menu! It's a bit funky, with pronounced fermentation that makes it feel boozy, like wine or spiced rum. The aromas are very floral and tropical, and the cup is wonderfully complex, with notes of berry jam, tropical fruit, and a syrupy sweet finish. 

Unessential Oils is the new music project from Montreal based Warren Spicer (Plants and Animals). His new music project mixes influences from jazz, folk, and rock with elements of improvisation, with infectious rhythms that carry you through the entire album. 

We are releasing the coffee at the Unessential Oils show in Montreal on Friday March 26, available everywhere afterwards.

NOTES FROM THE MASTER ROASTER:

The most funky and expressive coffee on the menu. We've roasted it to highlight the deep fruit notes. It has an undeniable boozy quality that we love, vibrant but not acidic, complex and jammy. The moment we tried a sample of this coffee we said "this has to be Unessential Oils" and the second edition was born.
