Experimental / Light Roast

Sometimes a batch of coffee roasts differently than expected. In May we moved locations, and some of our early batches did not go as planned and ended up lighter than we intended.

After aging the coffees for a month, we have decided that the coffees are still tasting great - but not the same as our usual profile. So we are offering them at a discount, online only. Please see current inventory below:

Frankie - Nicaragua Natural Anaerobic - This is a batch from May 18. We find this batch to be very juicy and fruit forward. Currently tasting great as a pour-over with refreshing acidity.

Bloom - Rwanda Natural - This is a batch from May 18. The fermentation is more pronounced in this profile, approaching into co-ferment territory. We get notes of very ripe strawberry, lively acidity and nice berry sweetness.

Okawari - Rwanda Washed - This is a batch from May 18. The profile is very bright, we are getting refreshing acidity with notes of caramel and lemon and grapefruit. Delicous as a pour-over in the hot weather.

Somewhere - Costa Rica - Black Honey - This is a batch from May 18. Originally this coffee appeared too bright and was held back. After aging the coffee, it is displaying flavours of plum and blackberry with some nice lime acidity balanced with sweet sugar and caramel flavours.
